Your first visit

A private initial consultation costs £81.00, including two small X-rays, and we will either give you or send you a medical history form to complete and bring with you to your first appointment. Patients under the age of 16 will need to attend with a parent/guardian. Please bring proof of exemption with you if you are to receive free NHS treatment.

At your first appointment we will carry out a comprehensive examination of your mouth, teeth and gums and take any radiographs (Xrays) necessary to determine dental health. If you require any treatment, this would not normally be carried out at this first visit other than placing a temporary dressing, for example. Treatment options are fully discussed and a written treatment plan clearly setting out our charges will be given to you.

If you require a new patient medical history form you can download and print one here

Cancellation & missed appointments policy

There is absolutely no charge if appointments are cancelled with more than 48 hours notice (2 working days). Giving us plenty of notice allows us to offer the appointments to others, so please do try to let us know as soon as possible if you cannot make an appointment.

If an appointment is cancelled without 48 hours notice (2 working days) or your appointment is missed, then we will normally make a missed appointment charge of £15.00 per 10 minutes, based on the length of your appointment. This is because we still need to cover our practice overhead expenses. This fee will normally need to be paid before another appointment can be made.

Courtesy calls

We will endeavour to provide a courtesy reminder call, text or email a day or two before your appointment. Please remember that this is just a courtesy reminder and lack of a reminder cannot be used as an excuse for a missed appointment.
